This month MoMoVan brings you an evening focused on SOCIAL MEDIA.
We say we are the best in the world for social and digital media. If Vancouver is truly a world-class hub for social and digital media, then we have a challenge ahead of us: how do we use the attention created by the 2010 Winter Olympic Games to our own benefit? If we are indeed the best at what we do, how do we use our talent, our expertise, our innovative technologies to engage the world?
The Olympics in February are a given. There are 15 Mondays left! The eyes of the world will be on Vancouver. In addition to the athletes and officials, visitors, business delegates and media who will be in Vancouver, it is estimated that another 3 billion from around the world will be watching the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
How do we tell stories about our lives, our innovations, our community before, during and after February 2010?
Join local experts from both traditional media and social media companies as we look at the tools that are available and how we should promote ourselves, our companies and Vancouver to the world. We have invited executives fromNow Public, Invoke Media, Laura Ballance Media Group and Canwest to share their insights. This promises to be one of the most exciting MoMoVan.

Hear an update about the Engage! Expo that took place last week in San Jose. Find out what is driving the rapid growth of the virtual goods market and where the virtual goods industry is heading in the future.

WINBC brings you an evening about MOBILE ENTERPRISE: machine to machine (M2M) connectivity, asset tracking, industrial applications and more. Find out about what is transforming businesses from the inside-out and how new products can save you money and maybe even help you make some.
Mobile enterprise applications are changing businesses, across many verticals, from the inside-out by building wireless intelligence and capabilities into everyday devices. These applications, made possible by mobile broadband, are convergent and can make use of existing infrastructure, landlines and Wi-fi networks. They expand the reach of mobile from handsets to medical devices, vehicles, homes and basically anywhere that internet can reach. It may not be as sexy and visually exciting as mobile gaming and entertainment, but it makes money. Some of the most successful local companies in wireless operate in the mobile enterprise space. And who said making money was boring?
